Osu's stakeholders, having already a good working mobile application for entrepreneurs, decided to change their business model to a "Free in, Fee out" style model in order to attract a new stream of users.
To reach this, it was decided to develop a service for accountants, which will be free but will allow them to attract their clients to use Osu mobile application, which is the main revenue source.
So the main requirement was to make the service not very expensive in terms of time and human resources, but at the same time convenient for the accountant-client interaction to reach the successful product validation.
Only 15 working days were given for the design of the MVP. The TOR described the global functionality, without much detail, and I was entrusted to think over the functionality in more detail.
I focused on a clean, intuitive interface. I had a high priority to highlight the functionality of inviting customers as a core feature for the business.
To save development time, we chose the Ant Design Library and used the open-source icons library. On its basis, I built a library of components, customizing only the visual style and building widgets out of them.
I should keep in mind that after I finish my work here, this platform will be growing, and the Osu design team will use this design system. So I took special care to set the consistent, well-structured, and well-explained design system as a basement for future designs.
